The Doctor, Rose and Adam (picked up in Dalek) journey to Satellite 5 in the year 200,000. It orbits the Earth (which now has five moons and a population of 96 billion) and is supposed to be the hub of the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire. But something's not right - there's no high culture and multitude of aliens.

The Doctor and Rose investigate, much to Cathica's (a local) chagrin - she doesn't like to ask questions. Eventually they make their way to floor 500 and meet the editor, who controls the information flow, and his master the Jagrafess.

Adam meanwhile tries to download valuable information, via Rose's cellhone, to his parents answering machine. It doesn't work, and when he ends up in a medical centre he gets himself a infospike (a head portal) so he can access the satellite's computers. He also gets some nanotermites thrown in for free, that act as a vomit-o-matic, a convert vomit to a frozen cube. Now he can download the information.

The editor tries to torture the Doctor and Rose to find out who they are. But suddenly the editor already knows. Adam has connected himself the network and given the game away.

Cathica finally realises she is as docile and afraid to ask questions as the Doctor has said. She takes action and goes to floor 500. She realises what's going on. She connects to the network, reverses the air conditioning and tells everyone what's going on. All hell breaks loose and the Jagrafess is destroyed. The Doctor, Rose and Adam head off, with the Doctor confident history will right itself.

They take Adam home. The Doctor destroys Adam's parents' answering machine and refuses to take Adam with him as he tried to use the TARDIS for personal gain.

Question: why was this episode called The Long Game?
