Woo-hoo! Australia secured the point it needed in an exciting 0-0 draw. We're off to South Africa as one of the first qualifiers, instead of the last.
The last two games should be very interesting. They'll be celebratory to be sure. But Australia needs to demonstrate it can play finals football, not qualification football. We need to show we can play good football and win games. Not a mix of good wins, ground out draws and the occasional lucky win. I think Verbeek needs this too. Despite his great achievement, I think there's a view he can't get the team to step up to the next level.
