I've been saying for a long time that Tim Cahill is our most valuable player and I think he proved it again here. His two goals gave us a significant psychological advantage over Japan. Sure this game was a dead rubber in terms of qualification, but there's still rankings in Asia and the World to consider. Plus our rivalry with Japan. So inflicting their first defeat of this round as well as maintaining our record were both important.

Sadly I didn't get to see the game, but we played reasonably well it seems. We finally conceded a goal - well it had to happen eventually. Down 0-1 at half-time we turned it around for a 2-1 win. That's a good effort! We also finished top of our group with a 6-2-0 record.

So much to look forward to now. Finding out who else qualifies for the Finals. The Draw. Is Pim the man to take us there? The launch of our bid to host the Finals. Good stuff.
